Western Province have set their eyes on the top prize as they depart to Durban for their clash against the Hollywoodbets Dolphins at Kingsmead Stadium on Sunday 15 October.

Salieg Nackerdien's charges will be looking to earn themselves a fourth win in the ongoing CSA One-Day Cup to continue their climb to the top of the table.

This week the team saw the return of two senior stalwarts Wayne Parnell and Dane Paterson.

Paterson returns to training with the Cape side, coming back from his county season with Nottinghamshire CCC.

He stated the team's vision is clear in the competition, to eye for the top prize while taking it one match at a time.

“It's good to be back at the home of cricket, I've been following the boys closely and it's good to see the brand of cricket that’s being played," said Paterson.

"I was impressed by how the boys were training on Thursday, which shows in the results on the field”

"I’m just looking forward to joining up with the team and hoping I could add as much value as possible"

Paterson has returned to training this week following a rest period upon his return from the County season.

"Obviously, there’s a challenge ahead against the Dolphins. They've got a couple of players that are in form. But as I say that it's a good challenge for us and we look forward to it,"

"We've got the Dolphins and Titans away over the next week, so the goal is to come back with both wins”

"That could seal us the spot in the final. So not looking too far ahead, our focus is on Sunday, and then hopefully take some momentum into the Titans game on Friday."
