Cricket South Africa (CSA) congratulates Proteas Men allrounder Marco Jansen on his inclusion in the prestigious Forbes Africa 30 Under 30 Class of 2026, recognising young leaders and trailblazers who are shaping the future of the continent through excellence, innovation and influence.

At just 26 years old, Jansen has established himself as one of the most exciting cricketers of his generation, both on and off the field.

Since making his international debut in 2021, the left-arm fast bowler and hard-hitting batter has become a key figure across all three formats for the Proteas Men, earning global recognition for his impact with both bat and ball.

This accolade follows a period of continued success, including playing a significant role in South Africa's historic ICC World Test Championship-winning campaign and further cementing his reputation as one of world cricket's leading young allrounders, currently ranked No 2 in the ICC Men's test All-Rounder Rankings.

CSA Chief Executive Officer Pholetsi Moseki welcomed the recognition:

“Marco's inclusion in the Forbes Africa 30 Under 30 Class of 2026 is a proud moment for South African cricket and a fitting recognition of what he has achieved at such a young age.

“He represents the next generation of South Africa’s sporting excellence and continues to inspire through his commitment to continuous improvement.

“We are delighted to see him recognised among some of the continent's brightest young achievers and wish him continued success for the future,” said Moseki.
