Sudharsan, Prasidh and Siraj condemn MI to second loss
Gujarat Titans trio Sai Sudharsan, Prasidh Krishna and Mohammad Siraj combined to condemn the Mumbai Indians to a second-consecutive defeat with a 36-run victory in an Indian Premier League match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday evening.
Sudharsan struck a wonderful half-century to help the Titans to a competitive 196 for eight after Mumbai had won the toss and elected to bowl first.
In reply, Siraj claimed 2-34 with Prasidh ending with 2-18 in four overs as Mumbai Indians fell way-short, ending on 160 for six to hand Gujarat their first victory and condemn Mumbai to their second straight loss.
Thrilling the home crowd with a performance to cherish 🤩

The left-handed opener, Sudharsan, struck four boundaries and two sixes from 41 balls before being trapped in front by Trent Boult (4-0-34-1) for 63.
Sudharsan’s opening stand of 78 with Shubman Gill (38) came from just 51 balls which was the perfect platform the home side needed.
The breakthrough by Hardik Pandya (4-0-29-2), having Gill caught at deep backward square leg by Naman Dhir, did not stop the early onslaught by the Titans as Jos Buttler (39) added a further 51 for the second wicket from only 32 balls with Sudharsan.
Gill had struck four boundaries and a six from only balls while Buttler struck five fours and a six from 24 balls before edging Mujeeb Ur Rahman (2-0-28-1) to Ryan Rickelton behind the stumps.
The departure of both Buttler and Sudharsan opened the door for Mumbai to stem the flow of runs.
Pandya had Shahrukh Khan (9) caught by Tilak Varma at deep cover before taking a catch himself at long on from the bowling of Satyanarayana Raju (3-0-40-1) to dismiss Rashid Khan for just six.
Pandya then affected the run-out of Rahul Tewatia without facing a ball.
Pinpoint accuracy 🎯

Rickelton whipped the bails off to see the back of Sai Kishore for a single while Sherfane Rutherford managed two maximums from 11 balls for his 18.
A BRIDGE TOO FAR
In reply, Siraj had Mumbai on the backfoot early on, clean-bowling both openers to leave the visitors on 35 for two in pursuit of 197.
Siraj first castled Rohit Sharma for eight and then Rickelton for six.
Suryakumar Yadav (48) and Tilak (39) laid the foundation for a resurrection, cracking 62 for the third wicket from 42 balls however Prasidh intervened, removing both to put Gujarat on top.
Tilak, who had struggled to his 39 from 36 balls with three fours and a six, slogged a ball straight to Tewatia at long-on while Suryakumar offered Gill and easy catch after facing 28 balls and striking one boundary and four sixes.
Once Suryakumar departed, the chase lost impetus.
Robin Minz (3) lasted just six balls, popping a ball from Kagiso Rabada (4-0-42-1) straight to Sharma at short-third man.
Pandya managed just one four in 17 balls before falling for 11 while Naman (18 not out) and Mithcell Santner (18 not out) tried their best to narrow the margin with an unbeaten stand of 36 for the seventh wicket from only 18 balls, but it was a bridge too far for the visitors, who have now lost four games in a row in Ahmedabad.
A spell of the highest authority! 🫡
