South Africa’s most loved on-screen Mom and Dad, fondly known as “LaZo” (Lazarus and Zoleka) from Inimba, the hit telenovela airing on Mzansi Magic (DStv Channel 161), graced the Betway SA20 clash at Newlands Stadium in Cape Town on Friday night.
Lunathi Mampofu and Loyiso MacDonald stepped into the Betway SA20 looking every bit like Mzansi royalty.

Lunathi and Loyiso, popularly known as Zoleka and Sigqibo or Lazarus, with some of the hottest fashion sense on television, brought effortless style to the cricket grounds.
Dressed in relaxed yet elegant outfits, a crisp shirt, and a baggy two-piece, their look screamed “rich, but chilled.” The green-and-white colour palette perfectly matched the lush cricket field and the mood of the day.
It was a beautiful day for cricket, a calm, chilled atmosphere that set the perfect tone for the game.
Defending champions MI Cape Town hosted Sunrisers Eastern Cape in a crucial fixture, with the log table extremely tight and playoff spots hanging in the balance. MI Cape Town was desperate for a win to keep their hopes alive.
Celebrity appearances at SA20 matches have become an integral part of the tournament’s appeal, seamlessly blending sport and lifestyle.
Betway SA20 Fans have previously seen stars like Sisa “Hlathi Mabandla” Hewana, one of South African television’s most memorable villains, share insights on the contrast between preparing for a cricket match and preparing for a role on screen.
SuperSport’s Motshidisi Mohono, the host, welcomed the couple in her territory to chat with them about the atmosphere and what it feels like being part of one of South Africa’s most loved shows, Inimba.
Loyiso described the cricket experience as relaxed and composed, much like his character Lazarus, someone who scans the room before making his move.
He added, “The people who have been enjoying the storytelling help with stepping out of the bubble and stepping outside, just being yourself and not in character, and finding yourself again.”
Lunathi, on the other hand, described cricket as fast-paced, highly calculative, and requiring quick thinking. She linked this to her role as Detective Bongi in Levels, the high-stakes Mzansi Magic crime series, available on DStv Catch Up and streaming on Showmax.
“There is a lot of growth happening within our characters on the Inimba. Some of these experiences are firsts for us as well, and we are grateful for the support,” said Lunathi.
The couple also revealed that Inimba is set to bring the heat this Valentine’s Day, a moment fans absolutely cannot afford to miss. Catch Inimba on Mzansi Magic, (DStv Channel 161) at 21:00 from Monday to Friday. The telenovela is also available on DStv Catch Up, perfect for binge-watching the 200 episodes of compelling television.
