TS Galaxy coach: You cannot win against Sundowns every day

TS Galaxy coach Adnan Beganovic has said ‘you cannot win against Mamelodi Sundowns every day’ after beating the Betway Premiership holders 1-0 on Tuesday evening in South Africa.

Beganovic said this after handing his counterpart Miguel Cardoso a first league loss since joining Sundowns, courtesy of Kamogelo Shebelebele’s first-half strike, a low shot from a tight angle in between Ronwen Williams legs.

“You can’t say you can win a game against Sundowns every day,” he told SuperSport Television presenter Carol Shabalala. “It is a beautiful club with so many good players but I am so proud of my team for how we tactically played this game and how much we have played games in February and how we look physically.”

He added: “All credit to the players. I want to enjoy it. We need to enjoy it because what we have done in three months is unbelievable. I am so happy. I don’t know what to say.”

The Rockets have since climbed from sixth to fourth place in the standings, 17 points behind the leaders Sundowns, having gone 12 league games undefeated under Beganovic who took over from Sead Ramovic last November.
