Orlando Pirates unveil midfielder Sipho Mbule as new signing

Orlando Pirates have completed the signing of former SuperSport United and Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Sipho Mbule, the club confirmed on Tuesday.
Mbule was a free agent after leaving Chloorkop at the end of last season, having spent the 2024-25 campaign on loan at Sekhukhune United.
The 27-year-old former Bafana Bafana international brings the experience of playing both CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup football to Pirates, who on Monday unveiled new coach Abdeslam Ouaddou.

Mbule came through the ranks at SuperSport along with friend Teboho Mokoena and made his debut in the 2017/18 season.
He was initially in and out of the Matsatsantsa side, but made 98 appearances, scoring 11 goals, in five seasons in the first team.
He signed for Sundowns in the 2022/23 campaign but never managed to nail down a permanent spot in the teaming with the heavy competition in the midfield at The Brazilians.
He made 51 appearances and scored three goals in two seasons before the loan spell at Sekhukhune in the last campaign.
