Kaizer Chiefs have added nippy winger Tebogo Potsane to the list of players that they have released, announcing his departure from the club on Wednesday.

The 31-year-old started only two games for Chiefs last season, although he was sidelined by injury for the first half of last season.

“As Kaizer Chiefs continue to prepare for the upcoming season, the club and midfielder Tebogo Potsane have parted ways amicably,” said a statement from Chiefs.

“We thank him for his contributions and wish him all the best in the future,” it added.

Potsane spent two seasons at Chiefs, starting only nine games in total.

His career began at Free State Stars, but after they released him, he was in the wilderness before his career was revived at Bloemfontein Celtic. He also spent two seasons with Royal AM after they bought the Celtic franchise.

Chiefs have seen the departure in recent weeks of Njabulo Blom, who was at the end of his loan spell at St. Louis City and has since moved to Thailand; Edson Castillo, Ranga Chivaviro, Edmilson, Mduduzi Mdantsane, and Sabelo Radebe.

Captain Yusuf Maart has moved to newly promoted SV Ried in Austria.
