Parker confirmed as new TS Galaxy coach

Bernard Parker is the latest of a raft of new coaching appointments expected ahead of the new Betway Premiership season.
The former South Africa international has been confirmed as new TS Galaxy coach after finishing last season in a caretaker capacity and leading the club to the Nedbank Cup final.

Initially, club owner Tim Sukazi said Parker would not be given the job permanently, but he has now made a U-turn, confirming Parker’s appointment at the weekend.
The 40-year-old Parker replaced Adnan Beganovic for Galaxy’s last six fixtures of the season, winning one game, drawing four, and losing the cup final to Durban City.
The win was the 3-2 home success over Mamelodi Sundowns last month that effectively ended the Brazilians’ long reign as South African champions.

Chippa United have already said they will keep Brandon Truter as their new coach for the new season after he took over for their final game of the last campaign, where they beat Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 in Durban.
New coaches are also awaited at Chiefs, Marumo Gallants, and Sekhukhune United.
