Sekhukhune United halted their poor run in the Betway Premiership with a dramatic 1-0 win against Magesi at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday, 11 April.

Eric Tinkler's side appeared to be heading for a sixth straight game without a win before Bright Ndlovu popped up deep into stoppage time to deny rock-bottom Dikwena tsa Meetse a share of the spoils.

Babina Noko were looking to snap a five-match winless run in the Betway Premiership, which had severely dented their top-three chances, while Magesi went in search of back-to-back wins for the first time this season after beating Marumo Gallants 3-0 in midweek.

The visitors created some decent chances and threatened to break the deadlock inside the opening 15 minutes when Samuel Darpoh forced Renaldo Leaner into a save after being teed up by Khonadzeo Muvhango.

Ndlovu was presented with a good opportunity at the other end soon afterwards as he latched onto Olerato Mandi's threaded pass, but the striker lacked composure and skewed his shot.

Leaner was called into action again to deny Kgomotso Mosadi with a fine save after the midfielder got his header on target from a cross on the right.

The hosts made a bright start to the second half, and Vuyo Letlapa directed his header just wide of the goal from Keletso Makgalwa's cross.

But Allan Freese's side frustrated them as the minutes ticked down and looked on course to clinch a crucial point in their fight for survival until Ndlovu scored from a corner in the sixth minute of added time.
