Richards Bay will be going up against Marumo Gallants in the Betway Premiership in another potential six-pointer at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Tuesday evening.

Kick-off is at 19:30 CAT (SA, GMT+2)

CURRENT FORM

The hosts are 14th in the league standings at the moment and are coming off the back of a goalless draw against bottom placed Magesi in the league.

The Natal Rich Boyz are winless in their last four fixtures, and desperately need to pick up more points in order to avoid relegation from the top-flight.

As for Marumo Gallants, the Free State team is one position above Richards Bay on the log, five points ahead with a game in hand. They are unbeaten in their last three fixtures.

Their most recent result in the league was a hard fought 2-2 draw against Chippa United.

WHAT WAS SAID

Richards Bay coach Ronnie Gabriel recently expressed excitement about their new signing, striker Mxolisi Machupu ahead of their match against Siwelele sa Marumo.

“We didn’t discuss that about more reinforcements. But we’re doing well at training,” he added.

“He [Macuphu] had a few good training sessions. We want to get him into a respectable level of fitness so we can throw him out to the pitch and maybe he can do a job for us.”

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Salim Jamal Magoola, Richards Bay — The Ugandan goalkeeper kept a crucial clean sheet against fellow strugglers Magesi and will be needed to be on form in this clash to keep Gallants from getting something on the scoresheet.

Gabadinho Mhango, Marumo Gallants — The Malawian forward is extremely experienced in the PSL and has three goals to his name in the Betway Premiership, he will be keen to build on his tally in this crucial match.
