As 2025 comes to a close, the last round of Betway Premiership fixtures for the year are set to kickoff this week with 12 teams in action during the course of the week.

The week’s action begins on Tuesday with a Durban derby as Lamontville Golden Arrows clash with AmaZulu for the first time this season at the King Goodwill Zwelithini Stadium.

Lamontville Golden Arrows have managed a mixed-bag of results in their last five league fixtures, losing three games and winning two. Abafana Bes'thende sit in 10th place on the Betway Premiership log with 16 points from 13 fixtures.

AmaZulu has enjoyed a strong start to the 2025/26 Betway Premiership campaign, collecting 21 points from thirteen games. With six wins, four losses, and three draws, Usuthu sit fifth on the log. Their last KZN Derby ended in defeat to Richards Bay on 28 November and Usuthu will be looking to bounce back.

Five fixtures will take place on Wednesday, with the reigning champions Mamelodi Sundowns headlining the day’s action, facing Siwelele at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium in Bloemfontein.

The Brazilians were removed from top spot on the log by Orlando Pirates, who defeated Durban City 2-0 at the weekend to claim first place on the standings.

Now three points off top spot, Masandawana have collected 25 points in 12 games, and have only lost one game this season. A win against Siwelele would bring the current champions level at the top of the table.

Siwelele are struggling in their first season in the top flight and sit in 12th place with 15 points after 14 games. The Bloemfontein-based side has collected four wins, seven losses and three draws.

Kaizer Chiefs will look to continue their strong start in the league as they face Chippa United at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha.

AmaKhosi are fourth on the log with 22 points after playing 11 games and could come within three points of top spot with a win on Wednesday. Like Sundowns, Chiefs have lost only one league game this season, registering four draws and six victories. AmaKhosi will look to keep the pressure on the top of the table with a victory on Wednesday.

Despite better performances in their last three games, Chippa United have continued to struggle under new head coach Vusumuzi Vilakazi. They sit bottom of the log with eight points from 14 games. The Chilli Boys have managed three losses and two draws in their last five league games and will be looking to move closer to exiting the relegation zone.

Magesi face a tough challenge in the form of Sekhukhune United at the Seshego Stadium in Polokwane.

Magesi are second from the bottom of the standings with 11 points from 13 games. Currently one point from safety, Dikwena tša Meetse will be looking to snatch their third win of the league campaign to end the year.

Sekhukhune United sit third on the table, having collected 22 points from 12 games. They sit level on points with Kaizer Chiefs but have the advantage on goal difference. Babina Noko have struggled in their last five league games, failing to get a win and will be looking to return to winning ways on Wednesday.

Orbit College will look to stay out of the relegation zone as it hosts Durban City at Olympia Park in Rustenburg.

The Mswenko Boys have managed four wins, eight losses and one draw in 13 league fixtures since being promoted to the top flight. They have lost both of their last two league games and will be looking to bounce back.

Durban City will also be looking to return to the wins column after falling 2-0 to Pirates on Saturday. The Citizens occupy eighth spot on the table and will look to stay in the top eight heading into 2026.

Wednesday’s fixtures finish in the Western Cape as Stellenbosch host Polokwane City at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town.

Despite finishing third last season, the Maroons have struggled in the 2025/26 campaign and are only one point above the relegation zone. The Cape Winelands side has managed only three wins in 13 league games.

Stellies will be looking to expand the gap between themselves and the relegation zone and end the year with a fourth win in the Betway Premiership.

Polokwane City are in seventh place on the log, one point above Durban City. Rise and Shine have managed five wins, five draws and three losses in thirteen games and will be looking to remain in contention for a spot in next season’s MTN8.
