Viljoen stars as Dolphins pummel Western Province

Hanu Viljoen scored a brilliant half-century to set a resurgent Hollywoodbets Dolphins up for a dominant 195-run win over WSB Western Province in their CSA One-Day Challenge match at WSB Newlands on Friday.
Viljoen stood tall, scoring 74 off 63 balls to steer the Dolphins to 317-6 after 50 overs.
The total vindicated the call by Prenelan Subrayen, the Dolphins, to bat first after winning the toss.
The visitors' bowling attack gave nothing away as they cleaned up Western Province for 123 in 26.5 overs.

Viljoen's half-century is his third in 50-over cricket.
He faced 49 deliveries to reach the milestone. His 74 runs are also his new highest List A score.
Viljoen played a mature innings, taking his time to settle down. At one point he was on 12 from 31 balls.
Tristan Luus spearheaded the Dolphins' bowling attack with vigour.
The 19-year-old pacer ensured that Western Province's top order did not settle by constantly cranking up his bowling speed.
The result was the wickets of Valentine Kitime and Yaseen Vallie in the third and seventh overs.
Western Province attempted a rebuild through their Proteas stars, David Bedingham and Kyle Verreynne, after the early collapse, however, the pair could only muster a 40-run fourth-wicket partnership.
Bedingham fell trying to launch a full toss over the boundary. Instead, he sent it to Khaya Zondo at deep square leg.
Bedingham's dismissal offered a look into Western Province's season.
Nothing has worked out for them so far. The defending champions are languishing at the bottom of the table with little to no hope of making the playoffs.
KEY VILJOEN-PARSONS PARTNERSHIP
The Dolphins' victory was built on the back of a brilliant 86-run fifth-wicket partnership between Viljoen and Bryce Parsons.
The pair came together in the 26th over, after a collapse by the visitors.
The Dolphins lost four wickets for 12 runs in 2.4 overs as Western Province fought back after a brilliant start from the visitors.
Jon-Jon Smuts led the way with the bat with his 36th List A half-century, his second half-century in consecutive matches.
He scored 52 off 57 in the Dolphins' victory over the Lions over the weekend.
The seasoned campaigner carried that form into the tie against Western Province.
He stitched together a 129-run opening stand with Tshepang Dithole to get his side up and going.
Dithole showed good form against the Lions with an unbeaten 34 as he shepherded his side to victory.
The 31-year-old picked up from where he left off as he raced to his second List A half-century.
He scored a wonderful 67 off 82 balls as he helped create a solid foundation for his side.
Prenelan Subrayen was the pick of the bowlers for the Dolphins with three wickets for 27 runs in six overs.
Luus also finished with three wickets, but conceded 36 runs in seven overs.
