Ferrari's Charles Leclerc crashed out of the Miami Grand Prix sprint race before it even began on Saturday after hitting the wall in torrential rain during the warm-up laps.
Leclerc's car suffered heavy damage to the right rear and, on intermediate tyres in the unexpected rain, he aquaplaned out of control.
The Monte Carlo driver had qualified in sixth for the sprint race.
"Complete aquaplaning - I was not even pushing hard," Leclerc said on the team radio.
The 18-year-old Italian Kimi Antonelli will start the race in pole position – the youngest driver to be on pole in any form of F1 race.
