ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW: Men's T20 World Cup 2026

The 10th edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will be staged across five venues in India and three in Sri Lanka, with 55 matches from 7 February – 8 March in what promises to be a thrilling showcase of world-class cricket. And as ever, SuperSport will bring you every game live.
The 2026 T20 World Cup is already a blockbuster - and the first ball hasn’t even been bowled.

Bangladesh have been booted from the tournament after refusing to play in India over security fears, sparking controversy and clearing the way for Scotland to make a shock entry.
Pakistan have escalated tensions by boycotting their clash with India, a move seen as direct retaliation for the Bangladesh ruling and one that has sent political shockwaves through the cricketing world.
And then there’s Australia - stumbling through warm-ups, dropping games they were expected to dominate and now losing Pat Cummins, their talisman, to untimely injury.
Drama? This tournament has already delivered a full season’s worth — and the curtain hasn't even lifted.
FORMAT
Teams play everyone in their group once.
Top two from each pool move to the Super 8s, which splits into two groups of four.
Another round‑robin follows, with the top two from each Super 8 group reaching the semifinals.
The final is set for Sunday, March 8, in Ahmedabad — unless Pakistan make it through. If they do, political tensions mean the showpiece will shift to Colombo.
India will host matches in New Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai and Ahmedabad, while Sri Lanka shares duties with games in Kandy and two Colombo venues: R. Premadasa Stadium and Sinhalese Sports Club.
