Marseille bring in defender Luiz Felipe from Saudi Arabia

Marseille made their first signing of the January transfer window Tuesday as defender Luiz Felipe joined after terminating his contract with Saudi club Al Ittihad.
The 27-year-old centre-back was born in Brazil but represents Italy at international level, earning his lone cap in 2022.
He played at Lazio for five seasons before moving to Spain's Real Betis and then to Saudi Arabia.
A club source said he had signed an 18-month deal with Marseille, who are second in Ligue 1 and seven points behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain.
