Two-time champion Jonas Vingegaard said on Thursday he has turned his focus to the Tour de France after recovering from a concussion sustained in a nasty fall in March.

Dane Vingegaard crashed on March 13 during Paris-Nice and is not expected to compete again until the Criterium du Dauphine, which runs from 8-15 June.

Vingegaard won the Tour in 2022 and 2023 but finished second to Tadej Pogacar in the last edition. This year's race takes place from 5-27 July.

"The focus is now fully on the Tour de France," Vingegaard said in a Visma-Lease Bike statement.

"I no longer have any issues from the concussion I sustained earlier, or any other physical problems.

"It's important to work on that and to leave nothing to chance."
