Bafana preliminary squad - fresh faces and a glimpse into the future

South Africa’s national team coach, Hugo Broos, has revealed his preliminary squad for the June international friendlies against Tanzania and Namibia, setting the stage for an exciting shake-up in the team’s lineup.

With Mamelodi Sundowns players unavailable due to their Fifa Club World Cup commitments, Broos has seized the opportunity to assess new talent.

Rising Orlando Pirates stars Mohau Nkota and Simphiwe Selepe headline the fresh inclusions, alongside Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Yusuf Maart, who has been rewarded for his standout performances.

Chiefs’ Mduduzi Shabalala and Bruce Bvuma also make the cut, adding depth to the squad.
