A strong contingent of Hollywoodbets Dolphins Men's and Women's players will represent the SA Emerging squad on their upcoming tour of Bangladesh in May.

There is a total of five Hollywoodbets Dolphins players in the squads with Alexandra Candler and Nicole de Klerk in the SA Emerging Women's squad while Romashan Pillay, Andile Simelane and Nqobani Mokoena are all in the men's squad.

The Dolphins are also represented in the management of both sides with Dolphins Ladies head coach Angelique Taai announced as the bowling coach for the women's side while Dolphins men's analyst Kushen Kishun is among the backroom staff for the men's side.

After stellar seasons with the bat for the Dolphins, Candler and De Klerk get their opportunity to represent South Africa and will be relishing the opportunity to play in foreign conditions when they arrive in Bangladesh.

De Klerk ended the recent Hollywoodbets Pro20 as the competition’s joint highest run scorer, while Candler was consistent as ever with the bat and finished the Hollywoodbets Pro50 competition as the leading run scorer.

STAND-OUT PLAYER

From a men's perspective, Andile Simelane has tasted Proteas experience in the T20 format and was the Dolphins' stand-out player in their CSA T20 Challenge campaign. This tour is an opportunity for the young allrounder to continue his growth on the international stage.

In his first season as a professional cricketer Romashan Pillay impressed with his composed demeanour at the crease and his ability to bowl overs as well. Having represented the SA Under-19 side this is the next step on an exciting journey for the youngster.

Exciting young SA Under 19 seamer Nqobani Mokoena will also experience his first Emerging tour. The 18-year-old gained vital List-A experience playing for the SA Under-19 team in the recent Division 2 One-Day Cup.

For KZN Cricket's CEO, Heinrich Strydom, having so many players featuring in national squads only bodes well for the future of Dolphins cricket.

"We are incredibly proud of the efforts of our players and we are excited to see how they fare in such foreign conditions," Strydom said.

"To be able to go on a tour to Bangladesh and experience what it's like to play there can only help in growing their games.

"With so many of our players and coaches involved in national teams over the winter period, we are very excited to see what they can achieve on the international stage."
