Cricket South Africa (CSA) has announced Macron Sport as their new official technical partner.

This five-year partnership affords the Italian brand exclusive rights to manufacture playing and training kits for the Proteas Men’s, Proteas Women’s, and development teams. The agreement also covers the production of fan merchandise and CSA staff apparel.

The Proteas Men will debut the newly designed kit at the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy, set to take place in Pakistan and the UAE from 19 February to 9 March 2025.

The newly styled one-day international (ODI) shirt features thin black, red and blue lines, complemented by yellow vertical stripes along the sides.

Crafted from Eco Gotex, a polyester material made entirely from recycled plastic, the garments incorporate an Eco Micromesh panel at the back and Eco Mesh inserts for reduced weight and enhanced breathability.

Commenting on the partnership, CSA Chief Executive Officer Pholetsi Moseki said: “CSA is pleased to partner with Macron, a brand that is setting new standards in the sports apparel industry.

“Macron is not just a sportswear brand, it represents excellence and quality, crafted to enhance the performance of athletes on the field and the experience of fans off of it.

"We are delighted to welcome Macron to the cricket community and look forward to fostering a mutually beneficial partnership."

Gianluca Pavanello, CEO of Macron, added: “This latest partnership with a leading body in the cricketing world confirms that the quality and reliability of Macron sportswear is recognised and requested by a growing number of international sports federations.

“We are committed to supplying garments that not only deliver unrivalled performance but can effectively convey the history, symbols and identity of Cricket South Africa.”
