The five best goalkeepers of LaLiga EA Sports 2024/25

Joan García, Jan Oblak and Thibaut Courtois among the top contenders.
The 2024/25 season of LALIGA EA SPORTS has been filled with memorable moments and outstanding individual performances.
One of the standout features of the campaign has once again been the exceptional quality of goalkeepers.
Every team boasts at least one top-class shot-stopper capable of winning points for their side, and in some cases, clubs are fortunate enough to have two high-calibre keepers who could start at many other teams.
1. Jan Oblak (Atlético de Madrid) makes history with his sixth Zamora Trophy
The Slovenian goalkeeper has become the player with the most Zamora Trophies in the history of LALIGA EA SPORTS.
This season, he claimed his sixth award by conceding only 30 goals in 36 matches, averaging just 0.83 goals per game.
At 32 years old, Oblak returned to his best form after a few uncertain spells, proving to be an impenetrable wall once again.
2. Thibaut Courtois (Real Madrid), the world’s best goalkeeper remains elite
The Belgian keeper returned to top form this season after suffering a serious injury last year.
Although he faced a few minor injuries during the campaign that sidelined him briefly, Courtois performed at an elite level during a period in which Real Madrid was not as defensively solid.
He conceded 29 goals in 30 matches, averaging 0.97 goals per game, finishing second in the race for the Zamora Trophy.
3. David Soria (Getafe CF) thrives under José Bordalás
The Azulones’ goalkeeper delivered one of the best seasons of his career. Soria played a crucial role in Getafe CF’s survival, conceding 39 goals in 38 matches—an average of 1.03 per game—earning him third place in the Zamora standings.
This season, he stood out for his consistency and reliability.
4. Joan García (RCD Espanyol), the breakout star
The Catalan keeper is LALIGA’s revelation of the year.
Joan García has been the name on everyone's lips thanks to his stunning saves, outstanding performances, and remarkable maturity at a young age—pointing to a very bright future.
Despite conceding goals, his high number of saves and his +4.1 goals prevented (xG differential) rank him among the best. He led the league in saves with 146 and was a pivotal figure in RCD Espanyol's successful bid to stay up.
5. Dominik Greif (RCD Mallorca), a reliable and composed presence
RCD Mallorca boasts one of the best goalkeeper duos in the league.
Greif has had an excellent season, conceding 34 goals in 31 matches—an average of 1.10 per game.
His backup, Leo Román, made history with two unforgettable performances against Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, tallying 23 saves between the two games (11 v Madrid, 12 vs. Barça).
These heroic displays have made Mallorca’s goalkeeping department one of the most enviable in the league.
Other keepers like Antonio Sivera, Unai Simón (especially in the second half of the season), Álex Remiro, and Sergio Herrera have also enjoyed strong campaigns, playing key roles in their teams’ achievements. L
ALIGA can take pride in its goalkeeping depth, as the position remains one of its strongest assets both in LALIGA EA SPORTS and LALIGA HYPERMOTION.
