Nigerian Adetunji scores twice as homeless Hilal advance

Nigerian Sunday Adetunji scored twice as Al Hilal of Sudan beat Police of Kenya 3-1 to qualify for the CAF Champions League group phase.
Hilal, appearing in the premier African club competition a record 39th time, advanced 4-1 on aggregate on Friday having won the first leg 1-0 in Nairobi.
Adetunji, a recent Hilal recruit after stints with clubs in North Macedonia, Serbia, Slovenia and Kosovo, claimed the only goal of the first half.
Erick Zakayo levelled for Champions League debutants Police before Adetunji struck again and Mauritian Ahmed Salem netted deep in added time for Hilal.

The match was played in Libyan city Benghazi because of the Sudanese civil war. Drones targeted the capital Khartoum for a third consecutive day on Thursday.
Power Dynamos of Zambia also secured a place in the group draw, set for Johannesburg on November 3, despite being held 1-1 by Vipers of Uganda in Ndola.
The Zambian outfit earned a mini-league place for the first time in five attempts thanks to a 2-1 victory in Kampala last weekend, which took them through 3-2 on aggregate.
Kenyan Moses Shumah scored for Power on 69 minutes and Abdul Karim Watambala equalised with 10 minutes of regular time remaining.
