Tete Dijana wins the 2025 Comrades Marathon in a race for the ages, beating last year’s winner Piet Wiersma.

The South African runner also won the race in 2022 and 2023.

Gerda Steyn of South Africa clinched the women’s race after crossing the line with a time of 05:51:19 to clinch her third consecutive title.

She becomes only the third woman in history to win four or more titles at the Ultimate Human Race.

For Steyn, the iconic ultra-marathon transcends mere competition, holding a deeply personal significance that has shaped her career and life.

She shattered the Comrades Down Run record in 2023 with an astonishing 5:44:54 – becoming only the fourth woman to ever complete the race in under six hours.
