POWER PLAY UPDATE: Arya leads Punjab to 65-1 v Rajasthan

Priyansh Arya collected 29 from just 11 balls to give the Punjab Kings a flying start on 65-1 after being asked to bat first in their IPL match against the Rajasthan Royals at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Stadium in Chandigarh on Tuesday evening.

 

Two of Arya’s five fours came from edges against Jofra Archer (2-0-12-1) who had the left hander caught at mid on in the third over but fellow opener Prabhsimran Singh (25*) was still at the crease at the end of the Power Play with Australian left hander Cooper Connolly on six.

South African left-arm paceman Nandre Burger bowled three of the six Power Play overs and was hammered for 45 runs.
