Cena and Paul set for generational battle

It’s a matchup built for the marquee as The Never-Seen Seventeen and The Maverick bridge generations of what defines a WWE Superstar.

On the SmackDown following a heartbreaking and shocking SummerSlam for Cena, the social media megastar came calling for one of the final matchups in The Cenation Leader’s career.

A brawl between Cena, Paul, Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes sparked a tag team matchup that ended with Paul getting disqualified by delivering Cena a crushing low blow.

Cena is one of the most influential Superstars in WWE history who has built a legacy on hustle, loyalty and respect. He’s set the standard for excellence in the ring with his unmatched 17 world championship reigns and outside the ring with his record-breaking number of Make-A-Wish wishes granted.

Then there’s Paul, whose brash style and comfort in controversy has made him a Superstar that attracts non-stop attention. But for all the trash-talking Paul offers, his abilities inside the squared circle have backed it up.

Paul already owns victories over AJ Styles, Rey Mysterio, Kevin Owens, The Miz and more in his short career, but a victory over Cena would be the ultimate feather in the cap for The Maverick as he continues his ascent in WWE.
