Amakhosi need to give their ALL against high-flying TS Galaxy
- Betway Premiership: Kaizer Chiefs v TS Galaxy
- Saturday 5 April, 7pm
Kaizer Chiefs and TS Galaxy are set to battle it out in a highly anticipated league clash on Saturday. This will be their 10th league meeting since TS Galaxy joined the top flight in the 2020-21 season, and history suggests that another tightly contested encounter is on the cards.
If history is anything to go by, this fixture has been defined by its tight margins. Out of the nine previous league encounters, seven have ended in draws—an astonishing 78 per cent draw rate.
With each side boasting just one win apiece, the balance of power remains evenly distributed. Even their goal tallies reflect this parity, with both teams having found the net six times across those nine league matches.
Chiefs’ sole league victory came back in June 2021, when Samir Nurkovic’s first-half strike sealed a 1-0 win. TS Galaxy’s lone triumph came last season in August 2023, courtesy of a Brandon Petersen own goal.
Their first league clash this season ended in a 1-1 draw in December, with Samukelo Kabini netting for Galaxy before Ranga Chivaviro salvaged a last-gasp equalizer for Amakhosi.
Barca going ALL out to get 10 straight wins
- LaLiga: Barcelona v Real Betis
- Saturday 5 April, 9pm (CAT)
Catalans have won 19 of their last 23 LaLiga meetings with Real Betis (D2, L2), with only Sevilla (20) suffering more defeats against them since the 2012/13 season. On the other hand, Real Betis have won twice in their last six LaLiga visits to Barcelona (L4) —one more victory than in their previous 22 away meetings (W1, D3, L18).
Barcelona have won their last two home league matches against Betis, scoring nine goals and keeping clean sheets in both. The last time they kept three consecutive home clean sheets against Betis in LaLiga was in 1939.
Barcelona have won their last nine LaLiga matches, their longest run under a single manager since Luis Enrique’s 12-game streak in March 2016.
Betis have won six consecutive LaLiga matches and could set a new club record for their longest top-flight winning streak (previously six in 1934, 1960, and 2018).
Barcelona boast the highest shot conversion rate (16.4 per cent) in Europe’s top five leagues this season—their best since 2019/20 (17.4 per cent).
Liverpool are ALL set for a chance to get closer to the title
- Premier League: Fulham v Liverpool
- Sunday 6 April, 3pm (CAT)
Fulham have won just one of their last 13 Premier League games against Liverpool (D3 L9), beating them 1-0 at Anfield in March 2021. Liverpool are unbeaten in their last six away league games against Fulham (W4 D2) since a 1-0 loss in December 2011 under Kenny Dalglish.
Fulham are looking to win consecutive home Premier League matches for the first time since March 2024, having won 2-0 against Spurs last time out at Craven Cottage. The only time they’ve had the same result in consecutive home games this season was four draws in a row between December and January.
Liverpool have scored 38 goals in 15 away Premier League matches this season, an average of 2.53 goals per game. That is their joint best in a top-flight season, also scoring at the same rate in 2013-14 (48 in 19 games, 2.53).
Fulham have picked up one point in their last 11 Premier League matches against teams starting the day top of the table (D1 L10), though it was against Liverpool in this season’s reverse fixture, a 2-2 draw.
ALL attention on the Manchester derby
- Premier League: Manchester United v Manchester City
- Sunday 6 April, 5:30pm (CAT)
Manchester United are looking to complete just their first Premier League double over Manchester City since 2019-20, following their 2-1 win at the Etihad Stadium in December.
Manchester City have won more Premier League away games against Manchester United than any other side (9). Five of their nine wins have come under Pep Guardiola, the most of any visiting manager in the competition.
Manchester United haven’t lost any of their last three meetings with Man City in all competitions (W2 D1), last having a longer run between January 2010 and February 2011 (4).
The away team has won 10 of the last 18 Premier League meetings between Manchester United and Manchester City (D2 L6) and since the 2015-16 campaign, the only Premier League fixture with more away wins is Crystal Palace versus Liverpool (12).
Manchester United have gone eight Premier League matches at Old Trafford without keeping a clean sheet, their longest run since a run of 12 between April and December 2021.
They’ve shipped 17 in nine games under Ruben Amorim, with the Portuguese coach having the worst goals conceded per game ratio of any permanent Red Devils manager on home soil in the Premier League (1.89).
ALL eyes on a classic Italian fixture
- Serie A: Roma v Juventus
- Sunday 6 April, 8:45pm (CAT)
Juventus' pursuit of a Champions League spot after a disappointing Serie A season will face a stern challenge on Sunday night as they take on a red-hot Roma side in a crucial top-four clash.
Currently in fifth place, Igor Tudor's Juventus sit one point outside the coveted Champions League positions. Their campaign resumed with an unconvincing, albeit victorious, performance against Genoa last weekend.
With eight matches left and six teams vying for the final two spots, Juve face the real danger of missing out on Europe's premier club competition.
The battle for the top four is tightly contested, with seven points separating third-placed Atalanta and eighth-placed Fiorentina. This weekend, all six contenders face either direct rivals or challenging fixtures.
Juventus trail fourth-placed Bologna, who are enjoying a six-game winning streak and will host title-chasing Napoli on Monday night following their dominant 3-0 win over Empoli in the Italian Cup semifinal.
Meanwhile, both Roma and Lazio sit three points behind Juventus, with Fiorentina an additional point adrift. Fiorentina face a struggling AC Milan at home, while Lazio travel to third-placed Atalanta. Milan, currently ninth, are nine points behind Bologna and almost out of contention.
