Chelsea goalkeeper Hannah Hampton will be out for a few weeks after sustaining a thigh muscle injury during last week's 1-1 draw against London rivals Arsenal, manager Sonia Bompastor said on Friday.

The 24-year-old, England's Euro 2025 hero, was not part of Chelsea's 6-0 Champions League group-stage thrashing of Austrian side St Polten earlier this week, with Swiss Livia Peng replacing her in the squad.

"We'll see if we can see her before the end of the year, but I'm not sure," Bompastor told reporters ahead of Sunday's Women's Super League trip to Liverpool.

Hampton could miss England's friendlies against China on 29 November and Ghana on December 2, Bompastor added.
