South Africa's Thriston Lawrence battled back from a poor start to claim a second European Masters at Crans Montana on Sunday.

Leading by one shot overnight, Lawrence began his final round bogey-bogey-bogey to fall two off the pace.

An eagle at the par four sixth got him back on track and five birdies in his next eight holes helped him follow up his 2022 win at the Swiss event.

Sharing second, two shots back, were Matt Wallace, Rasmus Hojgaard and Sami Valimaki.

Lawrence said: "Winning is tough. I was so nervous all day. It always looks so easy but it's not.

"I'm just so emotional, so happy. It's been a grind all day.

"Obviously after that start - I tried to give the guys a chance there! But yeah, I'm just so proud of the way I fought out there."
