From Europe to Africa and beyond, the intensity, drama, and glory of knockout football will be on full display. SuperSport brings you front-row access to the biggest showdowns, with every crucial moment broadcast live.

Below, we spotlight the must-watch cup finals that will decide champions and crown legends.

17 May: The FA Cup final

Crystal Palace v Manchester City

It’s the grand finale of the English domestic season on Saturday, May 17, as Crystal Palace and Manchester City collide under the iconic arch of Wembley Stadium. Kick-off is set for 5:30pm CAT, with glory and history on the line.

For Crystal Palace, this is a moment steeped in hope and heart. The Eagles return to the FA Cup final for the first time since their valiant run in 2016, looking to write a new chapter in their club’s history. Their path to Wembley was carved with grit and flair, including a spirited semifinal win over Aston Villa.

Standing in their way is a juggernaut. Manchester City, chasing a third consecutive FA Cup final appearance, continue their relentless pursuit of silverware. Their semifinal triumph over Nottingham Forest showcased the clinical edge and depth that defines Pep Guardiola’s side.

With £2 million awaiting the winners and £1 million reserved for the runners-up, this is more than a financial incentive - it’s a clash of legacy versus longing, power versus passion. Expect drama, defiance, and dreams in motion as the curtain falls on another unforgettable English campaign.

21 May: Uefa Europa League final

Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester United

The stage is set for a titanic showdown as the 2024/25 Uefa Europa League season reaches its dramatic conclusion in the heart of Bilbao, Spain. On Wednesday, 21 May 2025, under the lights of the iconic San Mamés Stadium, two Premier League strugglers - Tottenham and Man United - will battle for European glory and perhaps put some shine on a disappointing season. Kick-off is at 9pm CAT.

This all-English final reignites a storied rivalry on continental soil. Tottenham, seeking to recapture the magic of their Uefa Cup triumphs in 1972 and 1984, meet a Manchester United side eager to add a second Europa League title to their 2017 triumph. History weighs heavily on both sets of shoulders, but so does the promise of redemption and silverware.

San Mamés, the beating heart of Athletic Club and a fortress of Basque football, is no stranger to grand occasions. Rebuilt in 2013, it has already witnessed history - hosting three matches at the 1982 Fifa World Cup and last year’s Uefa Women’s Champions League final, where Barcelona edged Lyon in a gripping contest. With a roaring crowd of over 50 000 expected, the cathedral of football will once again become a theatre of dreams - or despair.

Two giants. One prize. And 90 minutes - perhaps more - to etch a new chapter into European folklore.

24 May: CAF Champions League final

Battle for continental glory: Sundowns v Pyramids

The stage is set for a blockbuster two-legged CAF Champions League final as South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns lock horns with Egyptian contenders Pyramids FC. With the ultimate piece of African silverware on the line, both clubs are eyeing a historic triumph.

Sundowns will enjoy home advantage in the first leg, taking place at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria on 24 May, before the decisive return leg in **Cairo on 1 June**.

The Brazilians booked their place in dramatic fashion, ousting defending champions Al Ahly thanks to a last-minute own goal in a tense semifinal. Meanwhile, Pyramids stunned Orlando Pirates with a thrilling 3-2 victory in their second-leg clash at the 30 June Stadium, sealing their spot in the final for the first time.

It’s South Africa v Egypt. Champions v challengers. Who will reign supreme?

31 May: Uefa Champions League final

PSG v Inter

The stage is set for a blockbuster showdown as Paris Saint-Germain lock horns with Inter Milan in the 2024/25 Uefa Champions League final on Saturday, 31 May in Munich, Germany. Kick-off is at 9pm CAT.

Inter stormed into the final with a jaw-dropping 7-6 aggregate win over Barcelona, while PSG sealed their spot after a commanding 3-1 triumph against Arsenal.

This year’s final marks the return of Europe's biggest club match to Munich for the first time since Chelsea’s dramatic penalty shootout win over Bayern in 2012. The iconic Munich Football Arena, home to Bayern Munich and steeped in history, will provide the perfect backdrop for this titanic clash. With a capacity of 66 000, it previously hosted matches at both Uefa Euro 2020 and 2024 - a first in European Championship history.

10 May RECAP:

Nedbank Cup final: Kaizer Chiefs v Orlando Pirates

Kaizer Chiefs defeated arch-rivals Orlando Pirates 2-1 in the Nedbank Cup final at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday afternoon, ending a decade-long trophy drought.

Yusuf Maart scored a superb goal late on to secure victory for the Amakhosi, who had taken an early lead via a Gaston Sirino penalty, only to be pegged back by an equaliser from Evidence Makgopa.

The result sees Chiefs claim a first piece of major silverware since 2015, when they won the Premiership title in the first tenure of coach Stuart Baxter, while the Buccaneers missed out on equalling their own record of a hat-trick of National Cup triumphs.
