Banyana gear up for Wafcon: Three Nations Series to fine-tune preparations

Banyana Banyana has officially reported for camp in Pretoria as they enter the crucial final phase of preparations for the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (Wafcon) in July.
The camp coincides with the Three Nations Series, a tri-nation friendly tournament featuring South Africa, Botswana, and Zambia.
A squad of 22 players is already in camp, including the highly anticipated return of Refiloe Jane, whose leadership and midfield prowess will be vital as the team builds momentum ahead of the continental showdown.
Homegrown talents Lebogang Ramalepe and overseas-based stars Amogelang Motau, Hildah Magaia, and Jermaine Seoposenwe headline the squad, while players from Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies and University of Johannesburg joined late after club commitments.
International additions Bongeka Gamede and Linda Motlhalo are set to arrive within days, rounding out the squad.
With Wafcon fast approaching, this camp provides an opportunity to refine tactical structures, assess player readiness, and build cohesion. The Three Nations Series, hosted at Lucas Moripe Stadium with matches kicking off at 3pm, will serve as a vital test of readiness.
Tickets are available via Ticketpro at R40 for adults and R20 for children.
As defending champions, Banyana Banyana are laser-focused on sharpening their approach - both technically and mentally - as they prepare to represent South Africa with pride on the African stage.
