As a club looking to finish within the top eight of the Betway Premiership this season, TS Galaxy mentor Adnan Beganovic urged his side to be more lethal in front of goal as the Rockets prepare to face Golden Arrows at the Mbombela Stadium on Saturday.

Kick-off is at 5:30pm (CAT, GMT+2)

CURRENT FORM

After back-to-back victories against Chippa United and Mamelodi Sundowns earlier this month, The Rockets ran low on fuel and suffered two consecutive defeats against Stellenbosch and Masandawana thereafter.

Their inconsistent run of form has seen the team drop down to 7th on the log, with 25 points to their name after 19 matches played so far.

Arrows on the other hand have been unable to yield momentum heading into this weekend’s fixtures after their matches against Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United were chalked off.

Firstly, Arrows’ game against Pirates was abandoned due to a water-logged pitch, while their latest tie against SSU was called off as a result of there being no generator on standby generator at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium following a period of loadshedding.

Nevertheless, 11th placed Arrows recorded just one win in their last five league matches, while jotting down three draws and one defeat during this period.

WHAT WAS SAID

Reflecting on Galaxy’s recent performances, Rockets mentor Adnan Beganovic feels that his side needs to be more efficient in front of goal.

"We need to grow, we need to improve and try to put our goals higher, and then push to try to reach those goals, even if we don't reach that goal and we fall a little bit short, it's also good for us,” Beganovic said.

Prior to Arrows’ recently suspended ties, coach Musa Bilankulu stressed the need to bank on squad depth during the second-half of the campaign.

“Each and every team has its core players, if one or two is out, it’s a concern,” Bilankulu said.

“I believe that the player competing in the same position, they are willing and raising their hand so they can be considered in helping the team gaining the points.

“Theres been good signs, good form in those positions.”

PLAYERS TO WATCH

TS Galaxy: Keagan Dolly – Yet to fully stamp his name in the Galaxy starting XI, Dolly will have another crack at the whip against Arrows this weekend. As an experienced campaigner, Dolly’s direct approach will definitely come as a worry to Arrows’ leaky defence.

Golden Arrows: Brandon Theron – Known for his industry, Theron has been a key component to the Arrows backline this season. With Galaxy eager to push high up the pitch, Theron could have fun on the right-flank given his readiness to attack as a full-back.
