Khune picks his ultimate Nedbank Cup winning XI - Do you agree?

We’re down to the final four in the Nedbank Cup, with Mamelodi Sundowns hosting Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates taking on Marumo Gallants in the semifinals on the weekend of 12 April.
As the road to the final heats up, so do the football debates, especially when it comes to picking the ultimate Nedbank Cup-winning XI. And when Itumeleng Khune is in the mix, you know it’s going to be entertaining.
In a fun Goals v Saves challenge, ‘Mzansi’s #1’ sat down with a die-hard Orlando Pirates fan to build their best-ever Nedbank Cup-winning team. The twist? They had to name players based on their positions, with a specific Nedbank Cup-winning club as a prompt.
For example, when asked to pick a striker from Mamelodi Sundowns, Khune confidently went with Katlego Mphela, while the fan chose one of the South African league’s top scorers in Peter Shalulile.
As they worked their way through the list, names from some of the biggest Nedbank Cup-winning teams emerged, featuring players from Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs, and TS Galaxy.
Of course, one name made both lists – Khune himself. When asked why he deserved a spot, his response was simple: ‘I lifted the trophy.’
