FORMAT

The Ryder Cup is a match-play event between Team USA and Team Europe, consisting of:

FRIDAY:
Morning: 4 Foursomes matches (alternate shot)
Afternoon: 4 Four-ball matches (best ball)

SATURDAY:
Morning: 4 Foursomes matches (alternate shot)
Afternoon: 4 Four-ball matches (best ball)

SUNDAY:
12 Singles matches

Each match is worth 1 point. If tied after 18 holes, each team gets 0.5 points. The first team to reach 14.5 points out of 28 wins the Ryder Cup. If tied 14–14, the defending champions (Europe) retain the Cup.

Bethpage Black’s brutality The venue itself is a storyline. Known for its punishing layout, Bethpage Black is one of the toughest courses in the US

With narrow fairways, thick rough, and elevated greens, it will test every aspect of a player’s game. The infamous warning sign at the first tee sets the tone: “The Black Course is an extremely difficult course which we recommend only for highly skilled golfers.”
