Tadhg Furlong, Mack Hansen and Garry Ringrose are all set to return for Ireland's final Six Nations game against Italy in Rome on Saturday.

Simon Easterby's side still have an outside chance of winning the title despite their defeat against France at the weekend but would need an unlikely sequence of results.

James Lowe (back) and Ronan Kelleher (neck) are being monitored, with a decision on their availability to be made later this week.

The Ireland team will be named on Thursday.

Prop Furlong, 32, who has suffered hamstring and calf injuries in recent months, has not played a test since last July.

Hansen missed the loss to France with an injury while centre Ringrose is available after suspension.

The game at the Stadio Olimpico will mark the end of the test careers of Peter O'Mahony, Conor Murray and Cian Healy.

Ireland, gunning for an unlikely third straight Six Nations title, are third in the table, two points behind hot favourites France and a point behind England.

France, who have a hugely superior points difference, host Scotland in Paris on Saturday, with England travelling to face winless Wales.
