One third of his goals this season have come in the past two weeks.

FC Barcelona remain top of the LaLiga EA SPORTS table and that is in large part thanks to Lamine Yamal. The 18-year-old forward has been in great form all season, but in the past few weeks he has stepped up to an even higher level, especially when it comes to putting the ball in the back of the net.

Lamine Yamal has 15 total goals this season across all competitions, and five of them have been scored across the past five games. The most recent was a calm and composed strike from distance against RCD Mallorca in Matchday 23, which ended as a 3-0 victory for Los Azulgranas. Before that, he had also netted against Albacete Balompié, Elche CF, FC Copenhagen and Real Oviedo.

The last game when he didn’t put his name on the scoresheet was the team’s 2-1 defeat at Real Sociedad, but even then he registered an assist, while he scored in the previous match against Real Racing Club. That means he has a goal contribution in each of his past seven matches.

Lamine Yamal: Scoring, assisting and dribbling

For Lamine Yamal, adding more goals to his game has been an important development, and a terrifying one for opposition defences. The winger has been one of the best players in LaLiga EA SPORTS for some time now, but his game was initially more about setting up his teammates than about taking chances himself.

That’s seen with the fact that he has 47 assists for FC Barcelona so far in his young career, compared to 40 goals. But, that gap is narrowing.

With 10 league goals already, the 2025/26 season is already Lamine Yamal’s best scoring campaign in LaLiga EA SPORTS. His best tally in league play over a season had been nine, but now he has surpassed that thanks to the best consecutive scoring run of his career, of five matches in a row.

Besides his goals and assists, Lamine Yamal is also destroying opposition defences by dribbling right through them. In the game against RCD Mallorca, he reached his 100th successful dribble of the league season, making him the first player across Europe’s top five leagues to hit that number. The second player in terms of most successful dribbles is all the way back on 62, with that being Manchester City’s Jérémy Doku.

At this crucial stage in the season, Lamine Yamal is in top form and looks determined as FC Barcelona remain alive in all competitions. They’ve already won the Spanish Super Cup, but would love to add more silverware as they compete in LaLiga EA SPORTS, the Copa del Rey and the Champions League. If Lamine Yamal can keep scoring goals, as well as doing everything else he is so good at, Barça have a real shot in every game they play.
