Girona FC have bolstered their goalkeeping ranks with the arrival of Croatian international Dominik Livaković, on loan from Fenerbahçe until season’s end. The 30-year-old shot-stopper, born in Zadar, brings a wealth of experience and pedigree to Montilivi.

Livaković’s journey began at NK Zagreb, where he debuted in Croatia’s top flight in 2012. His rise continued at Dinamo Zagreb, racking up nearly 300 appearances and 11 trophies before moving to Turkey in 2023. At Fenerbahçe, he kept 26 clean sheets in 74 matches, cementing his reputation as one of the Super Lig’s most reliable keepers.

Internationally, Livaković has been a cornerstone for Croatia—playing a key role in their run to the 2018 World Cup final and the 2022 semifinals. Known for his lightning reflexes and ice-cold composure in penalty shootouts, he now sets his sights on Spain’s elite.

“I know that LaLiga is a very technical and very competitive league,” Livaković said. “I’m excited for the challenge.”
