The second leg of the CAF Confederations Cup final sees Simba take on RS Berkane in a winner-takes-all showdown. With continental silverware on the line, expect a fiercely contested battle as both teams aim to etch their names in African football history. 

24 May: CAF Champions League final

Battle for continental glory: Sundowns v Pyramids

The stage is set for a blockbuster two-legged CAF Champions League final as South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns lock horns with Egyptian contenders Pyramids FC. With the ultimate piece of African silverware on the line, both clubs are eyeing a historic triumph.

Sundowns will enjoy home advantage in the first leg, taking place at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria on 24 May, before the decisive return leg in **Cairo on 1 June**.

The Brazilians booked their place in dramatic fashion, ousting defending champions Al Ahly thanks to a last-minute own goal in a tense semifinal. Meanwhile, Pyramids stunned Orlando Pirates with a thrilling 3-2 victory in their second-leg clash at the 30 June Stadium, sealing their spot in the final for the first time.

31 May: Uefa Champions League final

PSG v Inter Milan

The stage is set for a blockbuster showdown as Paris Saint-Germain lock horns with Inter Milan in the 2024/25 Uefa Champions League final on Saturday, 31 May in Munich, Germany. Kick-off is at 9pm CAT.

Inter stormed into the final with a jaw-dropping 7-6 aggregate win over Barcelona, while PSG sealed their spot after a commanding 3-1 triumph against Arsenal.

This year’s final marks the return of Europe's biggest club match to Munich for the first time since Chelsea’s dramatic penalty shootout win over Bayern in 2012. The iconic Munich Football Arena, home to Bayern Munich and steeped in history, will provide the perfect backdrop for this titanic clash. With a capacity of 66 000, it previously hosted matches at both Uefa Euro 2020 and 2024 - a first in European Championship history.

17 May: The FA Cup final

Crystal Palace beat Man City to win FA Cup final

Crystal Palace beat Manchester City 1-0 in the FA Cup final at Wembley on 17 May to win the first major trophy in the club's history.

England midfielder Eberechi Eze scored in the 16th minute and Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson saved an Omar Marmoush penalty as City lost the Wembley showpiece for the second season in a row.

Nedbank Cup final: Kaizer Chiefs v Orlando Pirates

Kaizer Chiefs defeated arch-rivals Orlando Pirates 2-1 in the Nedbank Cup final at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday afternoon, ending a decade-long trophy drought.

Yusuf Maart scored a superb goal late on to secure victory for the Amakhosi, who had taken an early lead via a Gaston Sirino penalty, only to be pegged back by an equaliser from Evidence Makgopa.

The result sees Chiefs claim a first piece of major silverware since 2015, when they won the Premiership title in the first tenure of coach Stuart Baxter, while the Buccaneers missed out on equalling their own record of a hat-trick of National Cup triumphs.
