If you possess the voice, the undeniable passion for sport, and the vibrant energy to light up screens across South Africa, this is your unparalleled opportunity to join the next generation of on-air talent.
This thrilling campaign is designed to inject diverse voices and fresh perspectives into the SuperSport talent pool, with a special focus on unearthing dynamic young stars.
Your Journey to Stardom Starts Here
Aspiring broadcasters can kick off their journey in two exciting ways. The most accessible path is through online entry at supersport.com/mvptalentsearch.
Here, you'll complete a quick registration form, then dive into a curated selection of iconic sporting moments on the MVP Talent Search website for inspiration.
Your task is to record a unique, 45-second audition clip, bringing your energy, insights, or commentary style to life. Perfect your submission before uploading via the entry form. Entries for the online search close on 1 September 2025, so don't miss your shot to shine.

In person
For those who thrive in the spotlight, SuperSport's mobile studio is hitting major university campuses across South Africa for live, in-person auditions.
All of these venues and dates will be confirmed in the coming days.
These activations will offersan optimal setting to record your audition and feel the palpable energy of the search. Simply arrive at the audition space, consent to the event's terms and conditions, and our friendly Brand Ambassadors will guide you.
You'll register via an iPad, provide your details, agree to the terms, and choose your preferred sport from soccer, rugby, cricket, or netball.
Then, step into our mobile studio to deliver your 45-second audition based on a 15-30 second clip of your chosen sport, with a maximum of two takes.
What It Takes to Be an MVP: Insights from the Judges
SuperSport is on the hunt for talent that embodies exceptional communication skills, including active listening, fluid verbal expression, and great facilitation of conversations.
Crucially, candidates must possess deep sports knowledge, demonstrated through real-time analysis, broad multi-sport general knowledge, and familiarity with teams and players.
An undeniable on-air presence is key, requiring an engaging personality, professionalism, confidence, and the ability to research, multitask, and entertain.
Beyond the screen, SuperSport values team players who are punctual, flexible, genuinely passionate about sports, and can build rapport effortlessly. Essential skills also include crisis management, composure under pressure, natural charisma, and a thirst for knowledge as an avid reader.
Guiding you through this thrilling talent search are our dynamic hosts, the charismatic Hope Mbhele and Tshego Koke. They will set the stage for an esteemed core judging panel featuring industry giants: legendary presenter Carol Tshabalala, media powerhouse Thando Thabethe, and seasoned sports anchor Neil Andrews.
This formidable trio will be joined by a phenomenal rotating lineup of guest judges, including beloved commentators and former athletes like Motshidisi Mohono, Phumudzo Manenzhe, Teko Modise, Natasha Vermaak, Aisha Baker, and Nono Xaba, ensuring a diverse and expert evaluation of every aspiring star.
The Road to Becoming SuperSport’s Next MVP
The search will span across six provinces and all social media platforms, offering hopefuls myriad opportunities to audition both through our mobile studio and via online entries.
From thousands of hopefuls, the Top 20 Draft will emerge, with these elite talents being flown to Johannesburg to enter the exhilarating world of SuperSport headquarters. Here, they'll face high-pressure, real-world presenting and commentary challenges, both in the studio and out in the field.
The journey continues at the intensive SuperSport Draft Camp, where over several weeks, these rising stars will undergo rigorous media drills and broadcast challenges. They'll tackle everything from hot debates and vox pop relays to post-match wrap-ups and live Q&A sessions.
This intense training is designed to hone their on-camera confidence, deepen their sports knowledge, sharpen their quick thinking and natural improvisation, develop their interviewing skills, and cultivate an engaging, relatable personality with strong digital platform influence, social media instinct, live field reporting abilities, crowd control, and leadership in the studio – all fueled by unmatched energy and charisma.
Ultimately, the goal is to draft our 10 MVPs. In a thrilling live finale, only three exceptional presenters will be chosen to wear the coveted SuperSport badge. They will be revealed as the fresh voices of a new generation, ready to own the mic and represent the brand across Africa.
