After weeks of being in the SuperSport MVP Talent Search camp, it is evident that the participants are dying to prove their worth of being in the competition.

The relationships they have formed seem helpful in encouraging one another to keep working towards the ultimate dream of becoming part of the SuperSport family. Home sickness is a real thing.

SuperSport’s Hope Mbhele and Tshego Koke lead the SuperSport MVP Talent Search Show, as host, that aims to find South Africa’s next generation of sports broadcasters.

Whenever that text message comes through, our MVPs, a sight of excitement and nervousness hits them. Maybe this is what contributes to their actions when they take on the challenges in the SuperSport Arena.

Again, the contestants’ sports knowledge will be put to the test plus their ability to think on their feet. They must not only know the positions in the different sporting codes but also the statistics of those events. Although every participant would like to have a taste of being in the top 10, not everyone is quick on their feet.

MDAKA IMPARTS KNOWLEDGE

Former Spar Proteas centre court player and SuperSport presenter and commentator, Simi Mdaka, takes the MVPs through their paces to see who is sharp. The fastest answers will elevate the contestants to this week’s master class that Simi leads.

This week’s top 10 get to be pitch side for an international competition. Can you guess what tournament this is? This experience will test their presenting skill, analytical abilities, ability to read the room and being able to think on their feet. You will be pleasantly impressed by how some of the competitors take on the task like fish to water.

Some of the MVPs that make it into the top 10 will not come as a surprise but the question is who will left out? Who is yet to experience a sit down with the mentors in the master class?

With SuperSport providing commentary and coverage in a variety of languages allows the contenders to express themselves in a language they feel confident in the most. This allows them to shine as authentic as possible.

SWEET GULUVA JOINS THE ACTION

This week Carol Tshabalala leads the judging panel. She is joined by sports journalist and SuperSport presenter, OG Molefe as well as Big Brother Mzansi season five winner, Sweet Guluva (Akhonamathemba Mbele-Zwane).

Carol will be pleased to see that some of the contenders have heeded her advice from the previous episode.

The MVPs will not only be fighting for just the gold medal. There is another R10 000 prize that is up for grabs again this week. Can you guess who will take home this week’s cash prize?

Who are you mostly hoping impresses you and makes it into the top 10? Have your faves been doing the most so far?

Catch the show every Sunday on SuperSport Variety 4 and Mzansi Magic at 9pm.
