Chiefs and Pirates humbled as Magesi ease woes
Kaizer Chiefs and their arch-rivals Orlando Pirates endured a disappointing weekend as they registered defeats on the Betway Premiership's matchday 20.
A world-class goal by Lucas Ribeiro Costa earned Mamelodi Sundowns a 1-0 win over Chiefs in Tshwane as the defending champions opened an 18-point lead at the top of the standings.

In Bloemfontein, Pirates' title ambitions took a knock when they succumbed to a surprise 2-0 defeat to Marumo Gallants, but second-placed Buccaneers have four games in hand.

Meanwhile, Magesi FC eased their relegation fears when they secured a 1-0 win over SuperSport United in Polokwane, where Mcedi Vandala's late goal earned the Carling Knockout champions the win.
The action started on Friday with Stellenbosch FC fighting back to secure a point against Polokwane City as Ashley Cupido's late goal ensured that the match ended in a 1-1 draw in the Winelands.
On Sunday, AmaZulu FC made it two wins in a row when they defeated Cape Town City 2-0 in Durban, with Elmo Kambindu and Nkosikhona Radebe scoring the two goals.
