TS Galaxy have signed former Kaizer Chiefs attacking midfielder Keagan Dolly on a free transfer after he trained with the club for several weeks, aiming to rejuvenate their season.

The 31-year-old, who recently left Chiefs, brings a wealth of experience and talent to the Galaxy squad. His ability to create and score goals will significantly boost the team’s attacking capabilities.

The seasoned midfielder returned to South Africa in 2021, joining Amakhosi after a stint with French club Montpellier. During his three seasons at Naturena, Dolly made a notable impact, scoring 14 goals and providing 11 assists across all competitions.

“Welcome Keagan Dolly. We are excited to have you join the team! Signed and sealed, let’s achieve great things together,” reads the brief statement by Galaxy.

After departing from Chiefs, Dolly was close to joining SuperSport United, but the move fell through as the club chose to sign Vincent Pule instead.

The talented attacker has played for several top South African clubs, including Ajax Cape Town (now Cape Town Spurs), Mamelodi Sundowns, and Chiefs. He also had a stint in France with Montpellier HSC.

Dolly’s impressive career includes a CAF Champions League title with Sundowns in 2016. He is now expected to play a crucial role in helping TS Galaxy turn their fortunes around after a disappointing start to the 2024/25 season.

Galaxy have yet to secure a league victory this season, with two draws and four losses, which led to the resignation of head coach Sead Ramovic, who has since been appointed as the new coach of Young Africans SC.
