Blitzboks open Dubai 7s with gritty win

The Blitzboks opened their Dubai 7s tournament with a gritty 15-12 win over Olympic Champions France.

An early try by Ryan Oosthuizen followed by tries by Donavan Don and Christie Grobbelaar on either side of halftime was enough to hold off the plucky French in the new shortened tournament format.

France scored a late try through Antoine Zeghdar but it wasnt enough to haul the Blitzboks in.

The Blitzboks now face Fiji at 2.16pm and Argentina at 6.34pm in their next pool games. All games are live on SuperSport
