DAY 1: Rain washes out first day between Dragons and Western Province

Rain washed out the entire first day of the CSA 4-Day series match between the Renault North West Dragons and World Sports Betting Western Province at the JB Marks Oval in Potchefstroom on Thursday.

No play was possible with covers on the field throughout, and a toss is yet to be made. We could be in for a very frustrating next three days with poor weather on the cards for most of it.

For the visitors, they will be desperate to see some play, as at fourth on the log they need a win in their final pool match to give them the best possible chance to make it into the top two on the log and qualify for the competition final.

The Dragons at seventh are out of the running and will just hope to finish their four day campaign on the best possible note, so will also be eager to get onto the field.
