Another day of rain, another early call as day three of the CSA 4-Day series match between the Renault North West Dragons and World Sports Betting Western Province at the JB Marks Oval in Potchefstroom was washed out on Saturday morning.

It is exceedingly looking like their will be no play at all in the match, as poor weather is predicted again for Sunday’s final day, unless there is a dramatic shift.

Fourth placed Western Province desperately need a result to try make it into the top two and qualify for the 4-Day final, so if play is at all possible on day four they will need to try convince the Dragons to have a couple of sporting declarations to force a result.

The Dragons however are in seventh place and out of the running, so it will come down to whether they would be interested in battling it out in essentially a limited overs match, or if they would be comfortable with the washout, which would end both of their seasons.
