Engen proudly congratulates Luyanda Gcabashe on his appointment as the new head coach of Polokwane City’s DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) team.

Gcabashe, who was recently named Coach of the Tournament at the Engen Knockout Challenge Gauteng leg, has quickly established himself as one of the country’s most promising young coaches. Under his leadership, Panorama FC clinched their first-ever Engen Knockout Challenge title, earning the opportunity to represent the province at the upcoming Engen Champ of Champs.

Reflecting on his journey, Coach Gcabashe said:

“The Engen Knockout Challenge has been a game-changer for me. It not only gave me the platform to showcase my abilities but also paved the way for my coaching career. Leading Panorama FC to their first Gauteng title was special, and it means even more knowing we’ll now represent the province at the Champ of Champs.”

Fifa Talent Coach and Engen ambassador, Thabo Senong, added:

“Coach Luyanda’s rise is a powerful example of the impact of the Engen Knockout Challenge. It’s not just about developing players but also about nurturing coaches who shape the future of South African football. His success with Panorama FC and his new role with Polokwane City’s DDC team is proof that hard work and opportunity can change lives.”

Engen celebrates this milestone achievement and wishes Coach Gcabashe every success as he continues his journey in shaping the next generation of South African footballers.
