PENALTY, SCARLETS, COSTELOW. 19-32. For all intents and purposes, that kick is the dagger that puts this match to bed.
But the pressure from the Scarlets is relentless. They are turning the screws on these Lions now.
JC Pretorius makes a superb turnover on the ground to get the Lions out of a tricky position.
But it's not to be as Kriel overruns a pass and Blair Murray is on hand to pounce on the loose ball. Now the Scarlets in dangerous territory.
Here's a chance for the Lions. They are in possession in the Scarlets' half of the field.
A well-weighted grubber kick by the Lions rolls into touch deep inside the 22. That is exactly where the Lions want to be.
The Lions need to score twice here to get back in the contest and they have five minutes to do so.

TRY, SCARLETS, WILLIAMS. 19-27. What magic by the visitors. They go inside-outside and coast to coast to score a scintillating try.
Both sides have scored three tries and are on the hunt for a fourth touchdown, which would bag them a bonus point.
With three points separating the sides and about 10 minutes remaining in this contest, we're heading for a grandstand finish at Ellis Park.
Scarlets have just been hit by another untimely injury.
Blair Murray has been one of the best players of the field today.
Scarlets are looking to strike off a set-piece, but they are driven back by the Lions. However, Murray breaks the line and runs free into the 22, before his pass is intercepted by the Lions.
The Lions' discipline is starting to wane here. They need to regroup and refocus.
Both sides have brought on their reinforcements from the bench.
The conversion sails wide of the target.
TRY, LIONS, KRIEL. 19-22. Kriel at the double gets the Lions back in the game.
This is fascinating viewing. It's the Lions attack going all out against the Scarlets' stubborn defence now.
The Lions, who had reduced the deficit to eight points, hack the ball down field from the back of a scrum. Scarlets kick it back to them and now the hosts are on the charge. Van der Merwe dances his way into the 22. They recycle the ball and Scarlets eventually concede a penalty.
This contest is morphing into an error-strewn affair. The handling mistakes are stacking up.
Immense defence by the Lions. They strip the ball off Scarlets right on the tryline to get out of jail.
YELLOW CARD, LIONS, PRETORIUS. Losing a man to the sin bin is the last thing the Lions needed now.
CONVERSION, LIONS, DOBELA. 14-22.
TRY, LIONS, KRIEL. 12-22. What a set move by the Lions off the back of that scrum. They keep it simple with a pass to the short side and Kriel runs in an easy try.
There are a couple of tired bodies out there on the field. Both sides' medical teams are out there to assistant players.
Now the Lions decide to hang onto the ball and take it through the phases with a series of pick and gos.
The Lions are chasing the game, but continuously kick possession away. This is not a good start to the second half for the home side.
Now the Lions get pinged for foul play, granting Scarlets an easy exit from the red zone.
The conversion is no good.
TRY, SCARLETS, PLUMTREE. 7-22. The first score of the half goes the way of Scarlets.
Free kick at scrum time goes the way of the Scarlets and they take a quick tap.
The Lions trail the Scarlets 7-17. They have to erase a 10-point deficit to hit the front here.
So far, it's a kicking fest between the two sides in the early stages of this second half.
The exit kick from the Lions is good. That's a great clearance.
KICK-OFF: Costelow gets second half underway.
HALF-TIME: LIONS 7-17 SCARLETS.
DROP GOAL, SCARLETS, COSTELOW. 7-17. Wow, what a way to end the first half. The flyhalf takes a long range drop goal and it hops over the crossbar after hitting the upright.
Scarlets' scramble defence again comes to their rescue, forcing the Lions to lose the ball forward.
Richard Kriel is full of running whenever he gets fed the ball. He is causing all sorts of problems for the Scarlets tacklers.
Scarlets now with the possession. But again, they employ a tactical kicking tactic.
CONVERSION, LIONS, WOLHUTER. 7-14.
TRY, LIONS, STEYN. 5-14. The touchdown is good and the Lions are finally on the board.
TMO REVIEW: The Lions are claiming a try, but the referee wasn't well-positioned. He has called on the TMO for assistance before making a call.
The Lions opt for a driving maul from the Lions. They are millimetres short of the line.
As the crowd get behind the home team, the Lions are chipping away at the Scarlets' line. But a no-look offload goes straight in Hughes' waiting hands. However, the referee brings them back for a Lions penalty.
And immediately Scarlets feel the weight of Davies' absence as his replacement, Archie Hughes, skews his clearance kick, giving the Lions an attacking lineout.
This is not good for the Scarlets. Their talismanic scrumhalf Gareth Davies is off injured with a rib injury.
CONVERSION, SCARLETS, COSTELOW. 0-14.
TRY, SCARLETS, MURRAY. 0-12. It's that man again. The fullback pierces through the Lions' erratic defensive line to score his and the Scarlets' second try of the match.
And now the Scarlets spring onto the attack.
This passage of play will no doubt frustrate the Lions. They have all the possession and attacking endeavour, but the Scarlets' defence is up to the task.
The Scarlets are playing good percentage rugby here.
That is a huge win for the visitors, who concede the ground as the Lions march over the tryline, but then the defence swarms in on the ball to hold it up off the ground. Goal-line dropout for the Scarlets.
The Lions are struggling to break down this Scarlets defence.
The Lions mount another attack after getting a penalty. They are about 2m short of the tryline and have a free play after the Scarlets were caught streaking offside.
The Lions launch through van der Merwe, who came in off his wing. He makes metres and then they go wide to Kriel and Horn.
The game is opening up. It's end to end action at the moment, but that high octane sequence comes to an end with a Scarlets knock on. The Lions will feed the scrum.
The Lions will have to come from behind if they are to win this game.

TRY, SCARLETS, MURRAY. 0-5. The fullback drifts past the Lions defence after a patient build-up.
The Scarlets are closing in on the tryline. They are 5m out and have a penalty advantage.
And the penalty goes against the Lions for not rolling away and playing the No 9. They opt to kick to touch.
Oh that is quite the turnaround, as the Scarlets win a free kick on the Lions' scrum feed. From there, they run at the Lions defence.
The Lions surge forward in broken field. Scarlets scuttle back and knock the ball on in a tackle. The Lions have a scrum.
Scarlets will be fuming with that wasted opportunity. They kicked to the line, but failed to find touch and the Lions pounced.
The Lions go long with throw-in. Joker runs onto the ball and makes ground well over the gain-line, but he is penalised for holding onto the pill.
We're still locked at 0-0. But the Lions now have an attacking platform with a lineout just outside the 22.
Plumtree escapes sanction as there's no clear head contact.
Taine Plumtree could be in trouble here for a dangerous hit on Renzo du Plessis. The TMO has been called to review the incident.
So far, the Lions have shown a clear intent to attack, while the Scarlets have leaned towards employing a territorial game.
Horn hoofs it clear and finds touch around the halfway mark.
Scarlets waste no time as they answer with a return kick. The Lions hang onto the ball and take it through several phases, but then there's a knock on. From the resultant scrum, Scarlets kick again and the Horn calls for a mark.
