A brilliant piece of play by Scarlets sees them pierce through the heart of the Sharks defence, but a last-ditch intervention results in the Sharks intercepted the final pass before Hendrikse kicks it away.
It is verging on comical now. Both these teams appear to be allergic to scoring points.
The Scarlets make a rare foray into the Sharks' half of the field. They reach the 22m line off the back of a lineout win, but then concede a penalty for holding onto the ball after the Sharks reached the breakdown point first.
Everything is just so static at the moment.
To describe this contest as scrappy would be an understatement.
The Scarlets' clearing kick doesn't travel far, granting the Sharks an attacking lineout in the right half of the field.
Something's gotta give here. The Sharks have to change tact in terms of getting points on the board.
Penalty to the Sharks and again they turn down the points and kick to the line. And again they lose possession mere metres from the tryline.
The game is opening up now. Both sides look to can the tactical kicking approach.

And they squander the chance to score. The Sharks have to do better than that so close to the tryline.
