FULL TIME: DRAGONS 10-31 BULLS
The Bulls get a full five points on a great day in the URC for South African sides. They go second on the log after that win. The Bulls are now well placed for a big playoff push.
CONVERSION, BULLS, SMITH, 10-31:
Smith converts at the last.
TRY, BULLS, GROBBELAAR, 10-29:
The Bulls maul over and eventually get their bonus point try.
YELLOW CARD, DRAGONS, DEE:
Cynical slowing down and Dee goes to the bin.
CONVERSION, DRAGONS, EVANS, 10-24:
Evans converts.
TRY, DRAGONS, BALDWIN, 8-24:
Baldwin flies in at the corner after a quick tap penalty.
There is a scrum for the Dragons now as Le Roux throws a forward pass that might cost the Bulls their bonus point.
CONVERSION, BULLS, SMITH, 3-24:
Smith quickly converts.
TRY, BULLS, PAPIER, 3-22:
Papier wriggles away for a determined finish that gives the Bulls a shot at the bonus point they need to move second.
The Bulls have a scrum in the Dragons 22 and can give themselves a shot at the bonus point if they can score quickly.
The Dragons are penalised on attack and aren't happy with the advantage they got from a Bulls knock.
The Bulls milk the scrum time penalty but Smith doesn't find a very long touch.
The Dragons have chance to turn up the heat as they set up a lineout deep in the Bulls 22 but they are held up at maul time.
The Dragons scramble it clear eventually after several attempts to launch from deep.
Another frustrating knock on ends a Bulls attack and the Dragons have the scrum.
The Bulls keep the pressure up and set up another lineout close to the Dragons 22 with a penalty.
The scrum goes up and has to be reset. He called use it very early and had to backtrack. The Bulls eventually get their penalty and kick up to the Dragons 22 once more but miss touch.
The Dragons keep getting themselves into trouble as they give away a free kick on their own scrum feed. The Bulls call for another scrum.
The Bulls turn down the shot at goal and set up another attacking lineout from a penalty.
Gumede gets onto Hughes and the Dragons don't get there in time and the Bulls can clear their lines with a penalty.
The Dragons have a chance to get back into this game as they have an attacking lineout.
The scrum is again taking an age to set. Poor game control from the referee. The Dragons surge away from their 22 with ball in hand.
Louw powers over from short range but the TMO spots a forward pass in the build-up. The Dragons get a let off.
Arendse snipes away from inside the Bulls 22 and the Dragons have to scramble back in defence.
CONVERSION, BULLS, SMITH, 3-17:
Smith converts.
TRY, BULLS, GUMEDE, 3-15:
Le Roux picks out Williams with a cross kick and he flips a pass to Gumede for a brilliant try from the Bulls.
Basham knocks on with van Staden bearing down on him and the Bulls have the midfield scrum.
The Dragons show good energy to come away from their own 22 and Le Roux has to get back and clear.
The second half is underway with a deep restart from the Bulls. The Dragons clear to just outside their 22.
HALF TIME: DRAGONS 3-10 BULLS
The Bulls have wasted chances to use their dominance to move the scoreboard. The Dragons have hung in well. They have also done well to distract the Bulls with gamesmanship.
The referee has to have the scrum reset twice and then soon after the Dragons see a penalty reversed for retaliation.
The Dragons knock on at the lineout but will return to 15 before they set the scrum.
Arendse slices a kick and the Dragons will have another attacking set in this half.
The Bulls get sloppy again as they give away a penalty close to the Dragons 22 after stealing the lineout ball and countering.
The Bulls get a little bit cute on attack and the Dragons hit them with a fierce counterruck and they win a penalty. The kick takes the Dragons just inside the Bulls 22.
CONVERSION, BULLS, SMITH, 3-10:
Smith converts as his kick hits the upright and goes over.
TRY, BULLS, ARENDSE, 3-8:
Le Roux fizzes a pass out to Arendse who is one of the best finishers in the game and he goes in for the score.
YELLOW CARD, DRAGONS, REED:
There is a review for alleged cynical play with the Dragons facing a penalty and a yellow card.
The Dragons win another crucial penalty on defence as the Bulls fail to protect the ball in attack.
The Bulls get a cheap penalty for the ball being kicked away and they will kick up to five out. They will have the lineout.
The Dragons breathe a sigh of relief as Le Roux chips after Van Srtaden's break into the Dragons 22. They get get mark.
PENALTY, DRAGONS, EVANS, 3-3:
Evans slots the kick to level the scores.
Steenekamp gets blown up for putting his hands on the ground as he tried to ruck through the Dragons. They could take the shot at goal.
Moodie makes a risky attempt to grab an intercept and gets away with it as the Dragons just get the scrum.
PENALTY, BULLS, SMITH, 3-0:
Smith slots the kick to open the scoring.
Burger gets taken out by a player rucking through and the Bulls are awarded a penalty within range for Smith.
The Bulls make progress with their offload game but then spill the ball as they threaten the Dragons 22. The Dragons have the scrum and a chance to clear their lines.
The Dragons do well to hold the Bulls up over the line and the Dragons have the goal-line dropout.
Smith pulls off the 50/22 out of nowhere and the Bulls can threaten from the attacking lineout.
Le Roux lets a ball bounce but he then puts in a huge kick that drives the Dragons back to ten inside their own half.
The Bulls disrupt the Dragons lineout but cannot gather a loose ball and after the Dragons fail to take advantage we come back for a scrum.
Sloppy from the Bulls as they knock on looking for a few extra inches on the carry inside their 22. The Dragons have an attacking scrum in the Bulls 22. The free kick goes against the Dragons because of a delayed put-in.
The Dragons aren't getting their attack going with ball in hand but are content to kick in behind the Bulls and turn their forwards around.
The Dragons appeal for a 50/22 but the referee believes the kick has gone into touch just before the line. The Bulls have the lineout feed close to their own 22.
The Dragons conceded a penalty and their attempts to keep the Bulls in their own half come to an end. The Bulls attack with purpose but are held up as they approach the 22. The Dragons have the scrum.
The Dragons first attack ends with a grubber rolling into touch. The Dragons couldn't make much of an impression on the Bulls defence but they keep them down in their own 22.
KICK OFF: The Dragons kick off deep and the Bulls spill it and have to scramble back to secure the ball.
