What drama at Loftus! The Bulls inflicted a first defeat of the season on Leinster, who game into this clash on a perfect 12-match winning streak.
PENALTY, BULLS, KRIEL. 21-20. The Bulls snatch victory from the jaws of defeat to end Leinster's 12-game winning streak this season.
Penalty to the Bulls. They have a chance to win the game.
The hooter has sounded, but the scrum will have to be reset.
We're into the final minute of the game and Nizaam Carr knocks the ball on. Leinster play on and Marco van Staden makes a turnover. But the referee calls the first infringement, which was the knock on. Scrum to Leinster.
Can the Bulls comeback here?
PENALTY, LEINSTER, BYRNE. 18-20. The ball glances the upright and bounces in and over the crossbar for three points to Leinster.
Leinster work their way down field and win a penalty.
RED CARD, BULLS, DE KLERK. The TMO agrees with the referee's on-field decision of a straight red card for de Klerk. The Bulls will finish the game with 14 players.
The Bulls will concede a straight red card here. De Klerk took out Osborne in the air with no regard for his safety.
The conversion attempt by David Kriel sails just wide. But the Bulls are still in front.
TRY, BULLS. 18-17. That's more like from the Bulls. They crash over from an unstoppable maul and hit the front.
Penalty to the Bulls, Leinster pinged for collapsing. Johannes sets another 5m lineout.
The lineout is good and the Bulls go to the maul straight away.
There is a shade over 10 minutes left in this game. Leinster concede another kickable penalty, but the Bulls turn over the points on offer and go to the line once more.
Johannes attempts a chip kick over the top, but it is partially charged down again. Barrett clears for Leinster.
That's a messy by the Bulls. They concede possession at the lineout again. Jake White will be fuming at that.
Another scrum penalty, the fifth in a row, go the way of the Bulls. Johannes sets a 5m lineout.
Ciaran Frawley loses the ball forward and now the Bulls will have a scrum in a promising position.
They can delay play, but they can't deny the Bulls' dominance at the scrum. The home side win yet another penalty at the set-piece. Le Roux doesn't find touch though.
Leinster are managing this yellow card well. They have the Bulls on the right side of the field and are taking their time to settle down for the scrum.
RG Snyman attempts one of his signature offloads, but the ball slips from his grasp. Scrum to the Bulls.
Playing with a one-man disadvantage, Leinster are playing for time. They are slowing down everything.
The Bulls are finally playing with some intent and urgency.
PENALTY TRY, BULLS. 13-17. Leinster illegally collapse the Bulls' driving maul. Leinster replacement Thomas Clarkson is singled out as the culprit and he gets a yellow card for his indiscretion.
The penalty comes and Johannes kicks to the line.
The Bulls make good ground with their rolling maul and the referee calls another advantage.
The referee awards a scrum penalty to the Bulls, giving them an opportunity to win back some of that lost territory.
Leinster are running at the Bulls defence in midfield. When they can't bash their way through, they go to the air. Osborne beats Jacobs to the ball in the air, but his slap down travels forward. Scrum to the Bulls.
Leinster's clearance kick stays in play and Le Roux kicks to the other side of the field and it turns into a perfect 50/22. However, the wasteful Bulls do what they've done best so far in this game and squanders possession at the set-piece.
With the attacking going nowhere, De Klerk nails a well-weighted grubber kick that stays in field. Leinster track back, but the chase is good by Vorster, who is the first man in at the ruck, winning a penalty for the Bulls. They take quick tap and go wide, where there is an overlap, but the ball is spilled over right on the tryline. Wasteful by the Bulls.
There's no cohesion between the Bulls backline players on attack. It's just not working with Johannes at flyhalf.
The Bulls win a scrum penalty. They are finally getting a bit of reward for their dominance at the set-piece.
Cameron Hanekom is off the field for the Bulls with what looks with an injury. He is replaced by another Springbok, Marco van Staden.
The Bulls are under pressure again. They've not had one attacking play in this second half.
CONVERSION, LEINSTER, BYRNE. 6-17.
The try stands. The TMO rules that Osborne never loses control of the ball and there's never separation between his fingers and the ball.
We have a TMO review for the grounding of Osborne's try. The officials are checking whether there was separation between the player's hand and the ball when grounding.
TRY, LEINSTER, OSBORNE. 6-15. A lethal move off the set-piece sees Leinster go wide and the winger scores.
The clearance kick didn't travel far, so Leinster have another attacking platform.
Leinster's Tommy O'Brien is receiving medical attention. When play resumes, the Bulls will have a lineout deep in their own half.
KICK-OFF: Johannes gets the second half going, but the Bulls concede a penalty immediately.
HALF-TIME: Bulls 6-10 Leinster. Despite their horrid display in the opening 40 minutes, the Bulls go into the break trailing by just four points.
PENALTY, BULLS, JOHANNES. 6-10.
Wilco Louw wins a penalty for the Bulls at the scrum against the feed.
And the Bulls come up with another lineout steal, but then fail to capitalise on their good fortune by making another unforced error.
Le Roux executes a kick pass for de Klerk, but a wicked bounce sees the ball go into touch.
Jacobs drops the ball cold, giving possession back to Leinster. This is tough watch from a Bulls point of view.
The contrast, the Bulls' have show an array of handling errors.
Leinster's backs are putting on a show with their excellent handling skills, running lines and support lines.
With Leinster toying with the Bulls defence and hitting gaps at will, Tshakweni comes up with a massive turnover at the breakdown.
The Bulls need to up their intensity in this clash.
Leinster score again, but the TMO has been called upon to check the validity of the try. And it's been ruled no good. RG Snyman took out two tacklers to create space for the try scorer. Relieving penalty to the Bulls.
The Bulls have to change their behaviour here, otherwise they're in for a long afternoon.
But no sooner had Tshakweni returned to action and he concedes another penalty, this time playing the scrumhalf.
The Bulls are finally back to 15 players as Tshakweni returns to action from his 10-minute spell on the naught chair.
Leinster kick to the line, secure possession at the set-piece and earn themselves another penalty advantage. This spells trouble for the Bulls.
The Bulls' disciplinary issues continue as Vorster is pinged for a neck roll at the ruck.
Unfortunately for the Bulls, Johannes is off target with his penalty attempt.
Leinster build again from a lineout around the halfway line. The ball is ripped clear in the tackle and De Klerk, running at an angle, latches onto the ball and splits the Leinster defence. The visitors can't recover fast enough and play the ball from an offside position. Penalty to the Bulls.
But the Bulls jumpers make a vital steal at the lineout. Johannes' clearance kick is partially charged down and Jacobs hacks it down field.
Leinster win another penalty. The Bulls' discipline is under the microscope here.
It's all going sideways for the Bulls at the moment as Johannes' kick-off doesn't travel the require 10 metres. Midfield scrum to Leinster.
PENALTY, LEINSTER, BYRNE. 3-10.
Le Roux makes a good attempt at an intercept, but Leinster were playing under an advantage. They will kick at goal.
The Bulls rush defence is stopping the Leinster attack in its tracks.
YELLOW CARD, BULLS, TSHAKWENI. The front rower is sent off for not wrapping his arm around the ball-carrier he tried to tackle.
Bulls loosehead prop Tshakweni is in trouble here. He is being looked at for a grasshopper tackle.
And then the Bulls are pinged for obstruction at the lineout.
The Bulls challenge the Leinster defensive line with their forwards bashing away. Leinster cave and concede a penalty. Johannes kicks to touch.
Another knock-on halts the Bulls' momentum. Another head injury for Leinster, this time Max Deegan.
De Klerk is lively for the Bulls. Finally the Bulls attack shows some promise, with their backs in particular coming up with a fee exciting plays.
The game resumes with a Bulls scrum. Kriel and de Klerk combine well down the right flank to leave the Leinster defence at sixes and sevens, but then a knock on stops the Bulls.
There's a break in play as medics attend to a head injury of a Leinster player.
This is scrappy stuff by the Bulls. Jake White will not be happy with what he has seen from his charges so far.
This is some suicidal play by the Bulls, who are lucky that Leinster didn't just score again.
CONVERSION, LEINSTER, BYRNE. 3-7.
TRY, LEINSTER, BARRETT. 3-5. A fortuitous bounce from an aerial bomb causes confusion among the Bulls backs and Leinster pounce to secure possession close to the tryline. They recycle quickly and Barrett walks in an easy five-pointer.
PENALTY, BULLS, JOHANNES. 3-0.
The Bulls will kick at goal, with Keagan Johannes lining up the shot.
Leinster go on the attack first, but the Bulls make a turnover and launch through their bulky forwards. Penalty to the Bulls.
KICK-OFF: Ross Byrne kicks off to start the game. the Bulls return the favour with an excellent touch finder.
While Leinster have gone a perfect 12 from 12 in the league this season, the Bulls have won eight and lost four throughout this campaign.
Both teams have been in fine form this season, although the Bulls will be wary of the fact that Leinster are the best defensive team in the tournament with only 166 points conceded in their 12 matches up to now, meaning they will have to be extremely efficient on attack and ensure that they convert their chances into points.
The clash between the Bulls and Leinster at Loftus Versfeld is also expected to be gripping with the hosts being determined to end the Irish giant’s unbeaten run in the competition and to close the gap on the table.
