The Bulls then concede possession on the ground and Edinburgh take it quickly.
The Bulls set a lineout and Akker van der Merwe breaks free from the maul. He shrugs off the first tackler, but is bundled into touch by the second. Edinburgh take the lineout quickly and have to work their way down field. But they are pinned on their own tryline and the Bulls force a turnover. Another 5m lineout for the Bulls.
The Bulls come piling into the ruck area, putting the Edinburgh players in reverse. Penalty to the Bulls.
There's about four minutes remaining with nine points separating the sides.
Akker van der Merwe burrows through the centre of the Edinburgh maul to stop their drive forward and to win possession back for the Bulls.
The Bulls' urgency at the breakdown has been questionable in this second half. Edinburgh just won a penalty from a good counter-rucking effort. Edinburgh refuse to go down without a fight in this clash.
Ross Thompson has been replacement by Edinburgh immediately after serving his 10-minute yellow card suspension.
Edinburgh tries to keep the ball alive, but they lose possession. The Bulls then counter, but Akker van der Merwe's attempted grubber goes into touch. Edinburgh will feed the lineout.
And the ball is ripped away by Marco van Staden for the Bulls. That is a crucial piece of play by the loose forward.
Edinburgh have turned the tables on the Bulls at scrum time. They've just won another scrum penalty and then kicked to touch for an attacking lineout.
This game is being played at quite a high pace.
Moodie toes Le Roux's grubber kick further and almost gathers the ball to score, but he just overruns it and knocks it on.
This game has opened up now. Edinburgh have a little spring in their step. They feel they are still in this contest.

A mistake from the kick-off sees the Bulls retain possession. But just as they look to score again, Ross Thompson rushes back from an offside position and slaps the ball down. He gets a yellow card and the Bulls a penalty.
CONVERSION, EDINBURGH, THOMPSON. 39-28.
TRY, BULLS, ASHMAN. 39-26. The hooker scores to close the deficit. And the Bulls go down to 14 men again.
The Bulls are caught offside again and if the ref gives the penalty, they will get a yellow card.
Edinburgh take a quick tap and still the Bulls defence holds firm. The refs award another penalty to Edinburgh and puts the Bulls on a team warning.
The referee plays advantage to the visitors. When nothing is forthcoming, he brings them back for the penalty.
The Bulls surprisingly concede a scrum penalty. The Edinburgh players are pumped. To the lineout they go.

TRY, BULLS, NORTJE. 37-21. The skipper does direct from close quarters and scores his team's sixth try.
As the Bulls move forward, there's a slight forward pass. But the referee brings them back for an offside offence by Edinburgh. The Bulls kick to the line.
A brilliant box kick by Embrose Papier ends up being a 50-22. Another attacking opportunity for the Bulls.
This sudden momentum shift has seen the Bulls open up an 11-point lead. Nothing is working for Edinburgh.

TRY, BULLS, JOHANNES. 30-21. The Bulls flyhalf scores a brilliant individual try to extend the Bulls' lead.

TRY, BULLS, MOODIE. 23-21. Willie le Roux shows all his class and experience in that second playmaker role to bring up another try assist. He drew two defenders and offloaded to the winger for a special try.
Coetzee stays on, meaning Hanekom will come on for Van Staden. The Bulls pack go to work and earn another scrum penalty. They kick to the line.
Cameron Hanekom is back and waiting to return to action for the Bulls after passing his Head Injury Assessment. But Marcell Coetzee is down injured for the Bulls.

We're into the final minute of the half and the Bulls win a penalty off the back of a huge scrum where they shoved Edinburgh off the ball.
And now Kriel skews his conversion attempt after taking over the kicking responsibilities from Johannes. The Bulls have left six crucial points out on the field from missed conversations.
TRY, BULLS, VORSTER. 18-21. This time they make no mistake as great interplay between Le Roux, De Klerk and Vorster brings the Bulls right back in it.
A wonderful break by Canan Moodie goes to waste as the inside pass to Embrose Papier is fumbled and the scrumhalf knocks the ball on with the tryline at his mercy.
Cameron Hanekom is off and Marco van Staden is on for the Bulls.
Johannes' poor performance off the kicking tee continues.
TRY, BULLS, KRIEL. 13-21. Willie le Roux runs a superb line to split the Edinburgh defence before freeing up Kriel for a morale-boosting try.
Edinburgh have been clinical whenever they've entered the 22 area.
CONVERSION, EDINBURGH, THOMPSON. 8-21. The young playmaker is slaying the Bulls here.
TRY, EDINBURGH, THOMPSOM. 8-19. Wow, the flyhalf dances through the Bulls defensive line again to score his second and Edinburgh's third.
The Bulls get done for hinging at the scrum. That is a big warning sign for the Bulls. Their scrum, lineout and breakdown are malfunctioning at the moment.
A grubber kick by Edinburgh rolls over the dead-ball line. Scrum to the Bulls from where the ball was kicked.
And now the Bulls' lien out goes awry, as Edinburgh steal it. Johannes charges down the clearance kick and then chases the ball down again.
To the line they go, but the Bulls' ball protection on the ground lets them down as Edinburgh make a solid turnover and kick the ball into touch.
A light scuffle breaks out between the two sets of players. Jan-Hendrik Wessels and Ritchie were the main instigators. The penalty goes against Ritchie and thus Edinburgh, for antagonising the situation.
At the moment, Edinburgh are winning the territorial battle. The Bulls are under constant pressure and are relying on Papier's box kicks to get them out of the danger zone.
There's a break in play due to a head injury to an Edinburgh player.
Johannes' conversion attempt is unsuccessful. How vital a miss will that be by the end of the game?
TRY, BULLS, HANEKOM. 8-14. The big man spots a half gap and accelerates through it to score a much-needed touchdown.
They do the first part right. They secure the ball at the set-piece.
The Bulls are awarded a penalty and they set a 5m lineout.
The Bulls need a spark here. Maybe it will come now that they are back to 15 men on the field.

TRY, EDINBURGH, THOMPSON. 3-12. Edinburgh's forwards get them close before the flyhalf darts past a couple of would be tacklers to score their second.
The Bulls are penalised for illegal play at the breakdown. Edinburgh turn down the points on offer, opting for a lineout.
Le Roux overcooks a side-way traveling up and under and it is directly into touch. Vital mistake that by Willie.
PENALTY, BULLS, JOHANNES. 3-7.
With Edinburgh now looking to take on the Bulls attack with hard running, the home side wins two quick penalties, one at the breakdown and one at the lineout. Johannes will kick at goal.
Papier's box kick is too far and Edinburgh gathers easily at the back and call for a mark. They again kick it back before the hosts concede possession again.
Edinburgh are playing excellent percentage rugby here. They refuse to play out from their own half. They kick down field and force the Bulls to attack from deep.
CONVERSION, EDINBURGH, THOMPSON. 0-7.
TRY, EDINBURGH, WES GOOSEN. 0-5. A simply sequence of draw and pass sees the visitors score in the corner.
Edinburgh set the lineout and from there, they attack via quick ruck ball.
The Bulls reclaim possession and launch an attack from deep. But the TMO brings them back for a foul play incident. Bulls wing De Klerk receives a yellow card for a shoulder charge.
Edinburgh have a scrum just outside their own 22. The Bulls contest, but the visitors get the ball out and spread it out wide to Darcy.
The Bulls take the ball through a few phases, but Papier grows impatient and puts in a dink over the top. But he rolls over the dead-ball line.
Edinburgh waste no time and immediately return the kick. The Bulls secure the ball at the lineout.
