Germany rear-guard boosted as Ruediger trains ahead of Denmark clash
Germany's defence received a much-needed lift on Friday morning as centre back Antonio Ruediger took part in the team's final training session ahead of their Euro 2024 last-16 tie against Denmark.
Ruediger had been a doubt after sustaining a thigh injury in his side's final group game against Switzerland, but he is expected to start against the Danes on Saturday, provided there is no reaction after Friday's training session.

With centre back partner Jonathan Tah suspended after picking up his second yellow card against the Swiss, Ruediger is likely to be joined in defence by Nico Schlotterbeck, who replaced Tah on the hour mark after he was booked.
The winner of Saturday's game will go on to meet either Spain or Georgia in the quarterfinals.
